Togrog is the Mongolian curency (alternate spellings: tögrög, Tugrik, Tugrug, төгрөг, tögörig, Tg MNT)

1 Tugrik is devided into 100.

Exchange rates
1USD, EUR, etc... = MNT (Mongolian Tugrik)

USD=US$, EUR=Euro, KRW=Korea, JPY=Japan, CNY=Chian, RUB=Russia

Credit cards
Cards are accepted in major businesses in Ulaanbaatar
and accepted in some businesses in Aimag (Province) centers.
Visa is accepted in more businesses than other cards.

Cards can be used to get cash in banks in Ulaanabaatar and in most Aimag centers.

ATM's
ATM's are available in several locations.

Using Tugrik in the countryside
Take the cash you will need for your trip in the countryside
Take small denominations to use in small country shops.

Currency Banknotes
Möngö coins are not in circulation any more as they have little value.
Denominations: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, and the new 20,000
